Superstar Prithviraj is all set to arrive with his historical epic “Urumi” in four languages English,Hindi,Tamil and Malayalam.Urumi is expected to hit the screens worldwide on 31st March 2011.This Movie is directed by Cinematographer-cum-director Santosh Sivan.
The movie Urumi is based on the attempted assassination of Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama, who arrived in Kappad near Calicut in 1498.
The film includes long list of famous faces Prabhu Deva,Arya,Genelia,Vidya Balan,Tabu,Nithya Menon,Jagathy,Amole Gupte,Chandan Roy Sanyal and others.Music by Deepak Dev.
Santosh Sivan,Prithviraj and Shaji Natesan are producing the movie under the banner of August Cinema.
The English and Hindi version of Urumi has been titled as ‘Vasco Da Gama’, while the Tamil version will have the title ‘Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal’
