സിനിമയില് സന്ദേശം ഉള്ളത് എന്തുകൊണ്ടും നല്ലതാണ് ,പക്ഷെ അത് ഉപദേശ രൂപേണ ആവുമ്പോള് കഥ ,കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള് ,പ്രേക്ഷകനുമായി സംവദിക്കാനുള്ള കഴിവ് എന്നിവ ,അനായാസേന കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യാവുന്ന ഒന്നാണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നില്ല .സിനിമയ്ക്ക് കുറ്റമായി പറയതക്കതോന്നും ഇല്ലതന്നെ തന്റെ സിനിമ ഇന്നത്തെ സമൂഹത്തെ ഉദ്ബോധിപ്പിക്കാന് ,അല്ലെങ്കില് ഒരു വിപത്തിനെ രണ്ടു കയ്യും നീട്ടി സ്വീകരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന മലയാളിയെ തിരുത്താന് പാകംവണ്ണം പ്രാപ്തിയുണ്ടാവണം എന്ന്

Personally i would say he let down the high expectation this time..though the choice of Subject was extremely Good and even the cast was good enough to give a perfect output- the development of story lacks badly..Could have done it in a far more better way, Since Its Ranjith’s creation.

From my perspective I dnt find it worth calling ‘the best’ as well. You have one of the best directors in the industry wid the best team of actors and technitions..obviously the film should come out as the best…but here ranjith don’t even do justice wid the topic that he has chosen..Ranjith should have worked on the script much more …There is nothing extra ordinarily gud in this movie. I’m not here to gauge the status of the movie or its impact. Its a nice one and moreover its the movie of Nandhu Pothuval. He acted with out leaving a second option. Marvelous acting I would say. Everyone should see the movie….
Spirit, it conveys a lot. it gives a BIG outlook how keralites, especially the lower class family is affected by alcoholism. Now about the movie, it 100% succeeded in conveying the idea about the subject.
No one can say that Mohanlal wasted the role in it. look at the way he handled the life of an addicted person. He did it beautifully. It never got bored for me. Then, had Renjith added any scene that thrills Mohanlal as an actor, film would have been worse.
Renjith showed his true talent by showing his simple but powerful script. Though it captures not much outside world (mostly Bar) it has a value in it.

A brilliant movie. Simple story line, and shocking revelations. I guess each one of us would have loved to say those dialogues openly sometime or the other. Very mature acting by almost all actors and actresses especially Mohanlal and Lena. Congratulations for Team Ranjith! We need more movies like this.

Film has a good message, but I never think a single man truly stop consuming alcohol after seeing this movie, even Lal (sorry Lal fans).
I was bit upset for loosing Rs.60 for just seeing an advice which I often read; “alcohol consumption is injurious to Health”
