
Prabhu Deva completed the dubbing for his first Malayalam film ‘Urumi’.Prabhu Deva dubbed in the Malabar slang that was spoken 400 years ago,in a Chennai studio.Urumi Director Santosh Sivan has made arrangements in Chennai.
Prabhu says,”As an actor,it was one of the happiest days of my life,to dub in Malayalam”
In the film, Prabhu Deva is paired opposite Nithya Menon.
Superstar Prithviraj starring historical epic movie “Urumi” is planing to realse in four languages English,Hindi,Tamil and Malayalam.Urumi is expected to hit the screens worldwide on 31st March 2011.
The movie Urumi is based on the attempted assassination of Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama, who arrived in Kappad near Calicut in 1498.
The film includes long list of famous faces Arya,Genelia,Vidya Balan,Tabu,Nithya Menon,Jagathy,Amole Gupte,Chandan Roy Sanyal and others.Music by Deepak Dev.
Santosh Sivan,Prithviraj and Shaji Natesan are producing the movie under the banner of August Cinema.
The English and Hindi version of Urumi has been titled as ‘Vasco Da Gama’, while the Tamil version will have the title ‘Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal’
