Mallu Singh is a Malayalam movie directed by Vyshakh, starring Unni Mukundan and Kunchacko Boban in the lead roles.
Story :
Hari has been missing for more than seven years and Ani wanted to find him. Hari was Ani’s friend from childhood; besides Ani’s little sister Ashwathi’s wedding was almost finalized with Hari, her cousin. So Ani sets forth to Punjab with great expectations of finding Hari. He was not sure why Hari had to disappear especially when you know the depth of his love to Ashwathi. He found his mother in tears most of the time and watching her, he decided that he must reach Hari somehow.
In Punjab, he arrives in Mallu Street and to his wonder, he locates Hari. But Hari’s name is Harinder Singh, he courts a beard and turban and his attire is purely Punjabi. Even in his behavior, Harinder Singh alias Mallu Singh looks a typical Punjabi. Ani wanted to make sure about Hari’s identity and so decides to stay put for a longer period. While contemplating the hurdles he has to overcome in a strange land to learn the truth, help arrives in the form of Karthi and Pappan. Together, the three go in search of proof to make sure that Mallu Singh is Hari. Somewhere along the line, Suseelan joins the threesome making the situation worse. Suseelan came to Punjab to start a hair cutting saloon but on finding that no one in Punjab cuts his hair, took up cycle repair as his occupation for survival. Their probes and inquiries lead them through many adventures and they are featured very humorously in Mallu Singh.

Biju menon , manoj k jayan kunjackoboban,suraj……combination kalikkiyitundu.unnimukundan as Punjabi look is superb.story is average.but overall its a watchable movie.

An average movie with some good songs and fight scenes. It shows that the director and script writer failed pathetically to tell a story even though they had a good talented actors and financial support. As a new comer in the industry Unni Mukundan has done a fabulous job by capturing the audience attention.His dance moves and action scenes are neat and we are well assured that he can do wonderful performance in his future work.He has already proved his acting skills in Bombay March ( off beat movie) and to an extent in this movie also.But the director failed to make use of Samvritha’s talents and the poor script doesnt offer her any scope as well.Kunchakko’s performance was also good but his attempt to do the comic sequences doesn’t have any impact on the audience as expected.Biju Menon,Master Ganapathy and Suraj has done their roles fairly well and the audience has some oppurtunities to laugh their ass out.Asif ali’s guest appearance was a spoiler.The script doesnt offer anything for a great artist Geeta.
BGM was really irritating especially during the comedy scenes.

Amazing picturisation of songs in beautiful locations of patiala and fantastic choreography; first time a malayalam movie is making use of the beauty of punjab; a good familly entertainer with all ‘masala’s. Compared to Vysakh’s previous work, this also may be a super hit (since pokkiri raja is a super hit).Feels like watching a tamil or hindi movie.
Good work by Kunchacko Boban; Unni Mukundan needs much improvement in acting. He has very pleasant and innocent looking with a photogenic face. He looks good in fight scenes and dances. But, he lacks expressions in acting. Hard work may make him future superstar. He has to make use of his own voice instead of resorting to dubbed voice by Mithun. Manoj K Jayan need control over his overacting skill. Biju Menon proved his skill again in comedy roles after seniors.
Script by Sethu was O.K.- a masala filled entertainment. Samvritha, Meera, Rupa, Aparna and Shalin all showed their dancing skills.

It is a mass entertainer for this vacation months. I think Unni Mukundan is going to become the mass hero. It is to be appreciated that he has excelled well in the last one year after his entry with Megastar Mammotty in Bombay March 12. After Prthviraj,in young actors, He is the ONLY star who can perform in romantic action dance and sentiments centred movies. His simple attitude will take him to heights. I am an ardent fan of Prithviraj but still appreciate Unni Mukundan. Mallu singh is well received by the family audience is going to be a SUPER HIT.
Don’t waist your time and money on this movie…even not worth to write a comment..all capable artists, but casted very poor…poor artist surely it will effect their rating…. I felt it was a para movie for ORDINARY using the same stars….again…NOT WORTH…
dont simply write it is a good movie and it is well received by all the people and its turning into blockbuster
