Here is the break for new trendsetter of remaking old movies. KPAC Lalitha, wife of Late Director Bharathan and Radhalakshmi, wife of Late Director Padmarajan have made it clear that they wont be granting permission anymore to remake their husband’s classics. As “Neelathamara” and “Rathinirvedam” were box office hits, the new directors have taken it granted, which is in case a kind of insult. They have stated it clear, the films are made flawless and there is no scope for remake, and to give a trial on non-hit older movies. Moreover, we say its a good decision and is a challenge for the directors of current period.
