Mumbai-based Malayali actress Karthika Nair made her acting debut with the Telugu movie Josh opposite Naga Chaitanya. Karthika made her debut in Tamil with KO. KO was super hit at Tamil and kerala box office. Now she is extremely happy with success of Ko.
In Ko Karthika played the role of Renuka Narayanan, who is a hard working and sincere Journalist, apart from playing hero Jeeva’s love interest. The people, who watched KO, were unable to believe that this is her first Tamil film. If she continues the same, Karthika will certainly make herself to the top league in Kollywood in no time.Currently the actress is enjoying the success of KO and Karthika has been receiving accolades from all corners.
Remember Karthika Nair’s native place is Trivandrum and she is the daughter of yesteryear actress Radha, Radha is the niece of actress Ambika . Recently her mother Radha held a special screening of Ko for Bharathiraja and his family at Mayajaal in Chennai. The veteran director who gave Radha her first break in his classic Alaigal Oivathillai. Says Radha: “I arranged this show for Bharathiraja sir who is my mentor. He had seen Karthika many years back when she was hardly 10. Now that she is the Ko heroine, I was very particular that sir watches my daughter on screen.”
Karthika Nair has also completed her first Malayalam film titled ‘Makaramanju’, with director-cinematographer Santosh Sivan as hero and directed by Lenin Rajendran.
