Karthi Sivakumar wed Ranjini at the Codissia Complex in Coimbatore today (July 3). The functions was held at their native village Kasigounder Pudhur, near Kovai. The Muhurtham was in between 5:45 a.m. and 6:45 a.m

Karthi wore a white silk shirt and a silk veshti. Ranjini was dressed in an elaborate orangish-yellow creation. Both wore garlands made of rose, golden flowers, lotuses, orchids and carnations. Famous celebrities from Tamil film field, like Prabhu and his wife, Poornima Bhagyaraj attend the wedding. Around 4,000 Karthi fans were treated to a special lunch.

Karthi got engaged to Ranjini, a MA English literature graduate and gold medalist from Stella Maris in Chennai.She is the daughter of Erode Chinnaswamy and Jothi Meenakshi on April 30, 2011 at Erode in Tamilnadu.

Karthi is planing to host a grand reception on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Le Royal Meridian in Chennai.

Now Karthi is very busy with the shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Saguni’ and has now taken a one month break for his wedding.
