ഒരു വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച കൊണ്ട് നൂറ്റിഎണ്പത് ഡിഗ്രിമാറിയ ടാര്സണ് ആന്റണി എന്ന ചെറുപ്പക്കാരന്റെ ജീവിതം രണ്ടര മണിക്കൂറുകൊണ്ട് കണ്ടിറങ്ങിയ സാധാരണ പ്രേക്ഷകന് രസിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണമുള്ള ചേരുവകളെല്ലാം ചേര്ത്താണ് ദീപന് ഹീറോ എന്ന ചിത്രം ഒരുക്കിയത്. മലയാളത്തില് അപൂര്വ്വമായേ ആക്ഷന് ചിത്രങ്ങള് പുറത്തുവരാറുള്ളു. ഈ അടുത്തകാലത്ത് സിനിമാലോകം വ്യത്യസ്തമായ കാഴ്ചകളിലേക്കാണ് കൂടുതല് ശ്രദ്ധകൊടുക്കാറുള്ളത്. അരാജകത്വത്തിന്റേയും അതിഭാവനകളുടേയും പ്രമേയങ്ങളില് കുടുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്ന നവ സിനിമാ സങ്കല്പ്പത്തിന്റെ കാഴ്ചകളൊന്നും ഹീറോ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലില്ല ഒരു കഥ നേരെചൊവ്വെ പറഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന രീതിയാണ് അവലംബിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. സിനിമ കാണുന്ന പ്രേക്ഷകന് അതിനാല് നൂറ് ശതമാനം അസ്വാദനം ലഭിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. സസ്പെന്സ്, സെന്റിമെന്റ്സ്, കോമഡി എന്നിവയാണ് ഹൈപ്പര് ആക്ഷന് രംഗങ്ങള്ക്ക് പുറമെയായി ഈ ചിത്രത്തില് ചേരുംപടി ചേര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഹൈക്ലാസ് ജീവിതങ്ങളുടെ വര്ണ്ണശബളമായ കാഴ്ചകള്ക്കിടെ സാധാരണക്കാരുടെ ജീവിതമാണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന പശ്ചാത്തലം. ഹീറോ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാമെല്ലാം പൃഥ്വിരാജ് എന്ന നടനിലാണ് സമര്പ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളത്. ആക്ഷന് രംഗങ്ങളിലെ കരുത്ത് പകരുന്ന പ്രകടനമാണ് ഈ ചിത്രമെന്ന് സംവിധായകന് മുമ്പേ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു. അതിസാഹസികമായ ആക്ഷന് രംഗങ്ങള് ഡ്യൂപ്പുകളുടെ കഥ പറയുന്ന ചിത്രത്തില് ഡ്യൂപ്പില്ലാതെ ചെയ്യുക എന്നത് ഒരു വെല്ലുവിളി തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. കഠിനാധ്വാനത്തിലൂടെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചെടുത്ത മസിലുകള് താരത്തിന് സൂപ്പര് ഹീറോ പരിവേഷവും നല്കുന്നുണ്ട് ഈ വര്ഷം പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ആക്ഷന് രംഗങ്ങള് ഹീറോയിലേതാണ് എന്ന് നിസ്സംശയം പറയാം. ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയില് ഏറ്റവും നന്നായി ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പറയുന്നയാള് എന്ന് കളിയാക്കുന്നവര് പോലും ഒരു കാര്യത്തില് എതിരഭിപ്രായം പറയില്ല. ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ അല്ല ബോളിവുഡിലെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ബോഡി ബിള്ഡിംഗാണ് ഇതില് പൃഥ്വി നടത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്്. ഒരു പൃഥ്വിരാജ് കേന്ദ്രീകൃത ചിത്രത്തില് മറ്റു താരങ്ങള് എല്ലാം തന്നെ തങ്ങളുടെ റോളുകള് ഭംഗിയാക്കി. സമീപകാലത്ത് മാസ്റ്റേഴ്സ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ തമിഴില് നിന്ന് പൃഥ്വിക്കൊപ്പം ശശികുമാര് എത്തിയതിനു പിന്നാലൈ വന്ന ശ്രീകാന്ത് പക്ഷേ നിരാശപ്പെടുത്തിയില്ല. മികച്ച അഭിനയത്തിലൂടെ ഹീറോയിലെ ആന്റിഹീറോയായി ശ്രീകാന്ത് തിളങ്ങി. അനൂപ് മേനോന് വളരെ കാലത്തിനു ശേഷമാണ് ഹൃദയസ്പര്ശിയായ ഒരു വേഷം ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ചിത്രത്തിനുള്ളിലെ ചിത്രത്തില് സംവിധായകന്റെ കുപ്പായം മനോഹരമായി അനുപ് മേനോന് എടുത്തണിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. അനില് മുരളി, ടിനിടോം നെടുമുടി വേണു, അനുപ് ചിന്ദ്രന്, കെ.പി. എസി ലളിത എന്നിവര് ഈ ചിത്രത്തില് മികച്ച പ്രകടനമാണ് കാഴ്ചവെച്ചത് നായികയായി എത്തിയ യാമിഗുപ്ത മോഡലിങ്ങ് രംഗത്തെ അനുഭവം ശരിക്കും ഉപയോഗിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഓരോ ഫ്രെയിമിലും മനോഹരമായ അനുഭവമാണ് കാഴ്ച്ചക്കര്ക്ക് അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടത്. അഭിനയിക്കേണ്ട സീനുകളില് അത്യാവശ്യം നന്നായി തന്നെ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തിട്ടുമുണ്ട്. ഫ്രെയിമുകളില് സൗന്ദര്യവും വന്യമായ ആക്ഷന് രംഗങ്ങളും ഒരു പോലെ മികച്ചതാക്കാന് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. എഡിറ്റിങ്ങും ബാക്ഗ്രൗണ്ട് സ്കോറും ചിത്രത്തിനുനല്ല ഫീലിങ്ങും നല്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഗാനങ്ങളാണ് പുതിയമുഖവുമായി നോകുമ്പോള് പോരായ്മയുള്ള ഏക സംഗതി. പിച്ചവെച്ചനാളും, സൂര്യമുഖവും സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ആവേശം ഗാനങ്ങള്ക്കില്ല. ശരാശരി നിലവാരത്തിലായി അതിന്റെ ചിത്രീകരണവും. വിനോദ് ഗുരുവായുര് ശുദ്ധഹൃദയനായ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനാണ്. നേരെവാ നേരേപോ എന്നാണ് അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ രീതി എന്ന് പരിചയമുള്ളവര്ക്കൊക്കെ അറിയാവുന്ന കാര്യവുമാണ്. ഇപ്പോള് അത് സിനിമക്കാണുന്ന പ്രേക്ഷകര്ക്കും മനസിലായിക്കാനും. ഗിമ്മിക്കുകള്ക്കോ, അതിനാടകീയതകള്ക്കോ ഇടം കൊടുക്കാതെ രസിപ്പിക്കുക എന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനഘടകത്തെ മുന്നിര്ത്തി തയ്യാറാക്കിയ ഒരു കരുത്തന്റെ കഥ. ദീപന് എന്ന സംവിധായകന് തന്റെ ശൈലി വ്യക്തമാക്കുക കൂടിയാണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തില് പുതിയ മുഖത്തിലെ പോലെ ഒരു ത്രില്ലിങ്ങ് സ്വഭാവമുള്ള യുവ ചിത്രം തന്നെയാണ് ഹീറോ. ശരിക്കും പറഞ്ഞാല് കരുത്തിള്ള യുവാക്കളുടെ കഥ. സാധാരണക്കരന്റെ മനസുമായി ചിത്രത്തിനു കയറിയാല് രസിച്ചു മടങ്ങാവുന്ന ഒരു എന്റര്ടൈനര് പൃഥ്വിരാജിനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ആരാധകര്ക്കും കിട്ടിയ ഒരു പൊങ്കാല.

Hero is a below average movie and there is lots of bad movies than this in Malayalam. I saw here a lot people are saying bad about Prithvi, I agree that he is not a good actor but he is physically doing hard work atleast, and he doesn’t understand he looks good with out big muscles, he should practice some martial arts instead of this. The reason I am writing here to make you all think that we shouldn’t blame Prithvi in his whole life time for just an interview gave with his wife and sounded as an ego couple, they weren’t matured enough for that. Actually those who are blaming them is being more bad than them, think about yourself, We should be cultured and forgive others when doing mistakes. Who is good here…? Who has no ego…? actually our jealous nature is making us to think bad about him, Prithvi’s wife’s love was making her to say something good about him…. forgive guys we all will be the real heroes for our wife. Most of the movie actors are living their life with ego……….we are being fools here….. who is not not making a big home..? which movie actor is here using a simple car, No one…. All have ego. Wake up guys, Movie actors are doing their Job same like all others or else one day we will have only Movie actors, Engineers and Doctors in Kerala. When you are being blind fans of these people you might won’t realize what talents you have got in life. We have got only limited life in this earth, try to live in a good way with out complaints. The expecatations were high with Prithvi’s hulk look and as a Prithvi – Deepan movie after Puthiyamugham. But everything went vein.
Hero is a bad film on every aspect and it is certainly not a film which i expected from Prithvi – Deepan combo
Stunt master Thalaivasal Vijay brings Prithvi(Tarzen Antony) to assist him for doing an action sequence in a film. Usual rivalry between
Bala and Prithvi which is seen in Puthiyamugham.Hero of the movie is Sreekanth(Premanand) and heroine is Yamini Goutham.
Then the routine lovestory, action and climax
First half is watchable if you have high patience. Usual stuff for a mass masala movie. Intro of Prithvi in a hardcore action scene.
A scene in which Prithvi jumps the bike over 3 cars and his expressions created laugh in the theatre
In the second half movie falls into a rig of cliches and tests ur patience to the core. Lengthy action scenes are unbearbale
Script is bad. The dialogues are banal. Music by Gopisunder is Ordinary. And the direction by Deepan is amateurish.
After being part of Urumi and Indian Rupee, I thought Prithviraj was on the track. But he is back again on step one
There is a Big Star cast Anoop Menon,Bala,Srikanth,Tini Tom,Nedumudi Venu, Thaaivasal Vijay,Yamini Goutham etc. But none could make any impact and all were disastrous.The debut by srikanth as Paramanand in malayalam screen goes terribly wrong
Story is as old as Himalayas and I dont expect anything new and unseen in these kinda mass masala movies. There is not a single scene which give you satisfaction that you have watched an action movie.
To be frank Hero beats the audiences to death!

Prithviye hate cheyyunna kure kazhuthakal und keralathil. Naanam illathavar. Hero 2 times kandu. No prblm with the film. Prithvi sharikkum hardwork cheythu. Big M’s…panna kilavanmar. Poyi chakan parayanam. Avareya sharikkum pandit-nodu compare cheyyendath. Prithvi….hands off.. Othiri ishtamayi. You will surely be a mega star. Waiting for your next project.
