The film is directed by Joshiy and produced by  P.K.Muralidharan and Santha Murali.The story, screenplay and dialogues has been handled by Sachi-Sethu of Chocolate fame .The cast includes Prithviraj, Narain, Bhavana, Samvritha Sunil, Jayasurya,Biju Menon and several others. The music is composed by M.Jayachandran.The film is very youthful kind of action flick.Prithviraj has done a good job as the hero.The film has taken a good opening.
Overall verdict- Youthful action film, for the family audience too.

The film is directed by Nishad. M.A who is behind the story as well and produced by N. Shiv Rao under the banner of  CinemaNSR (I) Pvt.The screenplay and dialogues has been handled by Cherian Kalpakavvadi.The music is by M.Jayachandran and is already huge hit.The movie has a social message to convey.The cast includes famous Tamil actor Pasupathy who has given an excellent performance along with Malayalam superstar Suresh Gopi and Jayasurya.The movie is a huge hit and has been favoured by family audiences.
Overall verdict- Good performances, message well conveyed.

The film is directed and produced by Jayaraj.The story is by Story: P.Y.Jose and music by Bijibal.This is the first Malayalam movie which uses spot sound recording technology.The cast includes Mammootty who gives a mesmerising presence as ‘Mike’ Philippose along with Sashikumar the founder chairman of Asianet and Gracy Singh who was the leading actress in Hindi film Lagaan.The movie is a huge hit and has great reviews.
Overall verdict- Good film, nostalgic and touching too.

The film is directed by Chakri Toleti and produced by Kamal Hassan under the banner of Raajkamal Films International.The music is by Shruti Haasan daughter of Kamal Hassan .Director Chakri, Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal have teamed up to give a faithful remake of the original Nasseeruddin Shah-Anupam Kher starrer, with the message intact.The movie is a huge hit in Tamil Nadu and Kerala box Office

Meghatheertham’ revolves around Kaviyoor Ponnamma, but it’s Saikumar who steals the show and the movie is badly out of place and time.

The film is directed by Vijay Krishnan.It is is loosely based on Balakrishnan Mangad’s short story entitled ‘Oru Madapravinte Kurukal.The cast includes Vinu Mohan, Sruthi Lakshmi,Surya Mohan,Nirmisha, Indrans, Kanakalatha, Kochu Preman and others.It is the story of three young girls from different walks of life  and how their life gets linked to each other.Of the three lead performers Nirmisha is the best and has done a remarkable feat.The movie hardly startles nor dos it have any shockers at the climax.
Overall verdict- Wasted effort,totally fails to sustain the viewer’s interest.

Oru Black and White Kudumbam  (Released Date: September 2)
The film is directed by Shaiju Anthikkad.The cast includes Kalabhavana Mani, Jayasurya, Bhama, Vinayaprasad, Bijukuttan, Lalu Alex, Jagathy and others.The music is by Alex Paul.Kalabhavan Mani is his usual self as Antony. Vinaya Prasad makes a comeback as Lakshmi and is OK. Jayasurya too is his usual self and Bhama comes up with a decent act.If the director had taken better care of things and had executed the subject in a better manner, the film would have been worth a watch.
Overall verdict- Old wine! Not that tasty, just so so!

Kaanakanmani  (Released Date: September 2)
The film is directed by Akku Akbar whose earlier movie ‘Veruthe Oru Bharya’ was a blockbuster.The film is a remake of Hindi movie ‘Gauri the Unborn’ which was Akku Akbar’s independent directorial debut .The music is by Shyam Dharman .The cast includes Jayaram, Padmapriya,Baby Nivedhitha,Nedumudi and others.‘Kaanakanmani’ has a message to deliver, regarding abortion, which of course is done quite emphatically.Jayaram, Padmapriya and Baby Nivedhitha do full justice to their respective roles.Themovie is  OK for one-time viewing.
Overall verdict- Faithful remake; but misses the mark!
