The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) is announced that , ‘AMMA is decided to form a cricket team to participate Celebrity Cricket League (CCL 20:20 ) by next year’. This news was announced by AMMA president Innocent in media conference in Abad Hotel Kochi on last Sunday. General secretary Mohanlal said that they had come to know about the tournament details from director Priyadarshan. AMMA joint secretary Idavela Babu added that, young stars of the Malayalam film industry will be the main strength of the ten member team. Team members names and other details will be announced by AMMA in the next meeting.
Almost all Malayalam stars like, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dileep, Kavya Madhavn, Radhika, Meera Nadan, Bhama, Bhavana, Ganesh Kumar, Pravena etc attended the meeting. The meeting also decided to raises monthly pension for veterans actors from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 4,000.
The other Celebrity Cricket League teams are Bollywood’s ‘Mumbai Heroes’ owned by Salman Khan and captained by Sunil Shetty, Kannada Film’s ‘Karnataka Bulldozers’ owned by Ashok Khey and captained by Sudheep, Tamil film’s ‘Chennai Rhinoz’ owned by GVR Group and Telugu films’s Venkatesh’s ‘Telugu Warriors’.
