The release of the Shaji Kailas-Mammootty film ‘August 15’ has been put off once again.
‘August 15’, which sees hit-making director Shaji Kailas and mega star teaming up once again after their ‘Drona 2010’, which was a wash out at the box office, is produced by M.Mani of Aroma Movies. Mammootty once again plays Perumal, the daring Crime Branch officer he had played to perfection in ‘August 1’, released in 1988 and directed by Sibi Malayil. S.N.Swamy, who scripted ‘August 1’, is in charge of the script for ‘August 15’ too. Laloo Aalex, Meghna Raj, Shwetha Menon, Thalaivasal Vijay, Balachandran Chullikad etc form the cast for ‘August 15’.
‘August 15’ was earlier planned for a Christmas release, but was then postponed and scheduled to be released in February. But now, the latest buzz is that the film will hit screens by March end.
So, wait till March end for Perumal to strike once again, back on a mission to save the State Chief Minister once again.
